Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi 

I need help to figure out what CPUs i can upgrade with . 

My computer is a HP Desktop PC - 870-136no . 

 

When i look at the processor upgrade info for that model it says . 

Processor

Integrated Graphics
Intel Core i7-6700K (Skylake) 4.0 GHz Quad Core
95 W
Integrated HD Graphics (GT2)
Intel Core i7-6700 (Skylake) 3.4 GHz Quad Core
65 W
Integrated HD Graphics (GT2)
Intel Core i5-6600K (Skylake) 3.5 GHz Quad Core
95 W
Integrated HD Graphics (GT2)
Intel Core i5-6400 (Skylake) 2.7 GHz Quad Core
65 W
Integrated HD Graphics (GT2)

 

Is it only restricted to these old CPUs . Can´t I install newer ones ?

 

I would appreciate some help . Thanks !

you should use only what is mentioned here

motherboard specifications, Thimphu

 

Newer processors, will certainly not work
Processors of the same type, but not in the list, could work, but cannot guarantee this
