@patywagon42,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

Your HP Slim Desktop - S01-PF1013w (9EE37AA), as fitted with a BakerMS motherboard with SSID: 8768, has a stock 180-watt power supply with p/n: L81733-800 "Power Supply - GNRC PSU 180W ENT20 SFF Gold", which can power low-end graphics cards such as a GT 1030 2GB or a GT 730 2GB.

The problem is that No Man's Sky, according to: https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/no-mans-sky/13130#:~:text=Here%20are%20the%2..., requires at least a GTX 480 or equivalent.

Your 180-watt power supply has a unique shape, and to make a long story short, you need at least a 240-watt power supply to power say a low-profile (low-power) GTX 1650 or an RTX A2000, but a 240+-watt power supply with the correct dimensions or even a reference to it just doesn't exist.

@patywagon42,

I am reluctant to send you on a wild-goose chase, but according to: Power Supply Cross Reference for specific models - HP Support Community - 7483923, there is a 400-watt power supply with p/n: L69242-800 compatible with a "Baker" motherboard:

You can take a look what this PSU looks like, such as this eBay purchase example: New Original Internal PSU Power Supply HP Envy TE01 Pavilion TG01TP01 L69242-800 | eBay, but I am not sure that this would be a fit.

What I have done in the past when confronted with a scenario like yours, I would buy and try it, and if it doesn't work, return to Seller it is to get my money back.

Kind Regards,
