I have a HP M01-F003w desktop with no Optical drive. There is a place on the front cover with a punch-out piece of metal on the front panel of the computer so that an Optical drive can be inserted. I need a part number or other ID for the drive so that it can be installed.

You need to buy several parts to add an ODD:
799541-001 | Latch Assembly - P Slim ODD |
L67795-001 | Bezel - ASSY,ODD-BEZEL-ID19-MT-OPP |
853885-800 | DVD - GNRC, ODD DVDSM 9.5 Slim Tray RAZR |
None of the parts are available from HP, so you will have to find them elsewhere.
If you don't use a DVD drive that much, you may want to consider purchasing a USB DVD-RW.
