Envy TE01
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Currently has 12G RAM.  I want to upgrade to 20-24 RAM.  How do I find compatible RAM?  How can I tell how many slots current AM takes?

What is your Envy TE01 ? For example

               HP ENVY Desktop TE01-1175xt

Your machine probably is very similar and it has 8GB + 4GB now. You can upgrade to 32GB or even 64GB therefore you can replace 4GB with 16GB to have total 24GB using same specs of existing RAM with larger capacity or the following RAM (will run at lower speed

Tried the Crucial applet . . . "Unable to determine RAM""      That's why I'm here.  I'm assuming RAM still comes in pairs, so I'll need two 8G cards.
