HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop TG01-1022
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Wanted to do a RAM upgrade and was wondering what RAM would be compatible with my system, I know it currently has 1/2 slots taken. The RAM it came with is Samsung M378A1G44AB0-CWE 1x8GB. My motherboard is 8767 A (SMVB) according to HP Support Assistant application (I just copied and pasted it). Was wondering if there are any specific guidelines besides selecting one with the same speed or if I picked up another Samsung 8Gb DDR4 2666 GHz if it would work fine.

The specs of your machine is

           https://support.hp.com/ie-en/document/c06992456

It has  8 GB DDR4-2666 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB) now and you are saying it is Samsung M378A1G44AB0-CWE 1x8GB. The BEST option for dual channels architecture is to use SAME Samsung M378A1G44AB0-CWE 1x8GB for slot 2 or using the following compatible RAM

You can also upgrade to 32GB or even 64GB using the following RAM (will run at 2666MHz)

        32GB:    https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/blm2k16g44c19u4bl/ct19807662

        64GB:    https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/blm2k8g51c19u4b/ct19807667

Regards.
