HP Pavilion 690-0020
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

It hasn't come yet, but I ordered an HP Pavilion gaming desktop, a 690-0020. And I want to add an SSD. Looking at the motherboard specs, it seems like an SSD can be added. But I want to make sure that the specific one I intend to buy is compatible/will install. I'm looking at getting a WD BLACK SN750 NVMe. I am just unsure of whether or not this specific one will be usable by the motherboard and want to be sure before I buy.

More than a hundred people have seen my topic here, but not a single person has posted or given me any kind of answer? How disappointing. Some assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

@Vannaton,

Now that you have this answer, you will be more than unhappy. 🙄😠

M.2 devices come  in 2 "flavors:, ie SATA with B + M keys, and NVMe with only the M key.

NVMe costs more, and is faster.  Crucial is in the business of making money and keeping customers happy.

What I find distressing is the fact that Crucial does not list an NVMe M.2 SSD.

since your MB has an M.2 slot....this NMVe 1TB SSD looks fine..... install and then clone the original drive on to it.
