I was wondering what cable connections i need to power every thing in my pc system (maybe not the dvd drive because of different connector)
I am looking to buy a CX430 psu to power my system and my gtx1050 ti i am upgrading too, an hp expert said the psu would work but i am just double checking as i got one before an hp expert said it would work and it did not.
many thanks,
adam

on my psu it says i have 3-4pin connectors and 1-atx connector when it says atx connector is that 20+another 4 pin or just 20 pin and will i have a sata data cable already in my pc connected?
thanks, adam
The four-pin connector and the 16+4 connector are the motherboard power connectors. Those are the two base requirements for a motherboard to operate. Without those two connected, nothing happens.
Watch the following video. It shows the unboxing and a description of all of the cable that the Corsair CX430 PSU has.
The last two cables he shows, but failed to describe correctly, are the SATA power connectors for the SATA hard disk and SATA optical drive.

Did you not draw youself a diagram, put labels on the connectors and take before and after pictures with your cel phone as you removed them from the motherboard?
That is certainly what it sounds like.
Are you trying to figure out where the connectors go now?

I did not understand that at all. Can you split that up into coherent sentences for me?
Do you need advice on what the required connections from the PSU to the motherboard are?
I can do that for you, if that is what you need.
