I see on the front cover a door with written on it "expansion bay" what is the use of it. I see in the pc a hd cady with enough space for 2. I am going to put a ssd in that caddy. Can i perhaps put a 2nd hd in the expansion bay. But where can i find a power socket which i will need for a 2nd hd.

Because there is a split one on the existing hd which i am gonna use for the ssd.

And after installing the ssd there is a spare sata socket, which i can use for .  .

Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂

As I understand you need information on using the expansion bay,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

Did you get an SSD with a caddy that fits your expansion bay?

(If not, please check with the local store to obtain one, they should supply a cable for the same)

While you respond to that, here's what you need to know:

Please get a 3.5" Hard Drive Caddy to use your SSD with,

to help you out, it may look like this:

I hope that helps!
