@allinonaio,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Great to see you're exploring upgrade options for your HP All-in-One 22-dd0xxx -you're absolutely right about the RAM and SSD being upgradeable. Here’s a breakdown of what you can and can’t upgrade on this model:

Upgradable Components:

  • RAM: Supports up to 16 GB DDR4-2400 or DDR4-2666, depending on CPU.

  • Storage: You can upgrade to a 2.5" SATA SSD, or if it has an M.2 slot*, even a NVMe SSD for much faster performance.

Non-upgradable Components:

Graphics Card (GPU):

  • Unfortunately, this model uses integrated graphics (like Intel UHD or AMD Radeon Vega), which are built into the CPU and cannot be upgraded.

  • There’s no PCIe x16 or MXM slot, and the chassis lacks space and cooling for discrete GPUs.

Processor (CPU):

  • The CPU is soldered to the motherboard (BGA socket) in this AIO, meaning it cannot be swapped or upgraded.

  • You’re locked into the processor the unit shipped with (usually a Celeron, Pentium, or Ryzen 3/5, depending on your exact config).

Final Thoughts:

While GPU and CPU upgrades aren’t possible, upgrading to:

  • 16 GB (2x8GB) RAM and

  • a fast NVMe SSD (if supported: please provide your System SKU*)
will significantly improve responsiveness for daily tasks, web browsing, and even light multitasking.

If you're hitting limits with graphics or processing power, your best option may be considering a mini desktop or tower PC for future expandability.

Let me know your exact CPU model (you can find it in System Information*) -I’d be happy to confirm RAM speed and SSD compatibility!

Kind Regards,
