Hi, so several years ago (2021) I bought a HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC (3G825AV), with 512 SSD storage. I did this under the assumption that I could add another SSD later when I've used up most of my current storage. However, after researching online, I'm a little confused about whether that is possible with my motherboard (Erica3. SSID: 87D6). This is my first PC and I admit I'm not knowledgeable about building/upgrading PCs or motherboards. Is there room for another internal SSD? Do I need to buy certain cords and try to squeeze one into a certain part? I thought it would be an easy thing to do since I had the option of adding a second SSD when I bought the PC, but as far as I know, that doesn't seem to be the case...

Your machine is an HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC TG01-1070m CTO.  Its motherboard

Wit ONLY one M.2 slot for storage

  • One PCI Express Gen 3 x16
  • One PCI Express Gen 3 x1
  • Two M.2 expansion slots (one for WLAN and one for SSD)
    • One M.2 socket 1, Key A
    • One M.2 socket 3, Key M, (2280/2242)

Sounds like you do not have any choice to add one more M.2 slot for SSD. You can use PCI Express Gen 3 x16 slot with an add-in card but you don't have room for a video card.

Regards.
