Hello,
I'm looking to upgrade my HDD to SSD and wondering if anyone knows what I need to be able to do this. I initially bought an M.2, as the HP product description said it has one, but it doesn't, so now I'm planning on getting the 2.5 SSD.
I know I need a mounting bracket, but I also saw mention of a SATA carrier somewhere, but not entirely sure what that is, or if it's actually needed.
Has anybody else upgraded their all-in-one that could shed some light please?
Thank you.

Hi:
The picture of your notebook's motherboard shows that it should have a M.2 SSD slot.
HP Pavilion All-in-One - 24-b275na PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support
It's on the upper left section of the picture, the slot next to the Wi-Fi card slot.
The slot appears to support the shorter M.2 2242 SSD's, not the more common M.2 2280's.

You're very welcome.
Yes, I'm afraid you are correct.
2.5" SSD only.
I wonder why HP shows a motherboard picture with a M.2 SSD slot, since it must be that only the models that come with a M.2 SSD have the slot.
Back to your original question...
If that is a 3.5" drive inside that drive cage, and since they make so many different kinds of 3.5" to 2.5" drive adapters, you will have to figure out which one would be best for your specific drive setup.
The main thing is where does the SATA power and data connectors plug in, and do you have any flexibility with that?
I like this one because it is shaped like a hard drive and the PC connectors go where they would normally go on a 3.5" drive.
Then that connector is wired to another connector inside the enclosure for the 2.5" SSD which mounts to the bottom of the adapter with 4 screws.
I installed it in one of my desktop PC's and it worked fine.
Very ingenious in my opinion.
