HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop PC TG01-0000a (6GY67AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I understand from HP support that motherboard ( Erica) of my HP Pavillion Gaming Desktop needs replaced and it is likely that they do not have replacement.

If I have to purchase a motherboard from marketplace then what happens to my pre-installed os and ms office?

All of the "pre-installed software and MS Office" information would be on the hard drive and not the motherboard.  If the motherboard needs to be replaced, then that will mean a possible problem with the Windows 11 license transferring but all of the other software should function properly, assuming you do the install of the motherboard yourself.

If you send the PC into the HP service center, then all bets are off.  Typically they will make more changes to the PC than the motherboard and most likely will lose all of your software settings and information and give you a clean Windows OS.

If you send the PC into HP or do the work yourself,  make sure you have a complete backup of the hard drive - everything needs to be backed up on an external media (hard drive or cloud, OR both).  Use a reputable software to make the backup - do not rely on the Windows built-in backup, IMHO.  Good luck and be prepared.
