here is the parts list for your system
https://partsurfer.hp.com/partsurfer?searchtext=6V9T6AV
you have "MOTHERBOARD RENOR2 INTEL RPL-S H670 WINDOWS"
Note that the processors listed are all 65 watt or less. The
There are more options for GPUs than there are for CPUs.

I would like to put a i9 in it, but if that isn't compatible then an i7 with more cores theen my i5-13400K has.
Thanks!
JC
The I5-13400K is not listed in the parts list nor can I find it when looking on the internet. I suspect you have I5-13400F unless you have an engineering sample CPU that has not been released yet. There is an i5-13600k
It is likely that you need to use the CPU listed in the parts list unless HP has a bios release with newer microcode. I noticed that the parts list cooler for your system is rated at 75 watts but the turbo wattage of the CPUs are near 150watts. It would be a serious problem to run in turbo mode for a long time.
