The support page for the HP Desktop M01-F1024, Erica5 SSID 87D7 at:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06945986
lists the Ryzen 4300G, 4600G and 4700G (Renoir) as processor upgrades.
(the socket type is incorrectly listed as LGA 1200 while it should be AM4).
Can you provide a full list of processors that are supported by this motherboard? I'm looking specifically for whether the Ryzen 2200G, 3200G and 3400G are supported CPU's.
Thanks.

You are correct - the spec page does list an Intel socket type (LGA 1200) , which is an error. I suspect the listed CPU's to accurate, however.
It also lists the AMD Ryzen™ 7 4700G as the installed CPU, which is the highest listed.
I saw on EBay where that motherboard was listed as part as a system that was sold without the CPU - Hmmmmm - are you that buyer?

Yes, I bought a barebones system with the Erica 87D7 motherboard and trying to find which CPU besides the 4300G, 4600G and 4700G can be used as these CPU's are not easily available outside OEM, or often selling more than a complete system. Ideally, 2200G, 3200G or 3400G would be great.
I'm also considering a 5600X or 5800X + GPU (e.g. GTX 1050 or GTX 1650), but from what I read, the PSU is only 180w. Hence it may be limited to a 5600X + GTX 750.
If HP can confirm what CPU is compatible, it'll avoid the hassle of CPU buying/swapping to find out.

I cannot give anymore recommendations other than the CPU's listed on the spec page.
Here is a comparison between the AMD Ryzen 7 4700G vs Ryzen 5 3400G
https://nanoreview.net/en/cpu-compare/amd-ryzen-7-4700g-vs-amd-ryzen-5-3400g
The CPU that should have come with the system is a better CPU and the Ryzen 5 3400G is about a year older.
"4300G, 4600G and 4700G can be used as these CPU's are not easily available outside OEM, or often selling more than a complete system." That might explain why I saw that system on EBay with the CPU missing.
For any further help or explanations, the complete model number of the system you have is needed. I cannot give reliable help from just the motherboard info.

The complete model is HP M01-F1024. It originally came with an AMD Ryzen 7 4700G 8GB DDR4 Windows 10 256GB SSD.
I can get a 5600X, which is available on retail and more reasonably priced than 4300G, 4600G and 4700G, but I'm not sure whether it will work with this motherboard.

I cannot recommend other than the listed CPU's. Feel free to try but that is up to you.
