Hi,

I bought HP Envy Desktop Model:TE01-5354.

Link: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-envy-desktop-intel-core-i7-16gb-memory-1tb-ssd-black/6573475.p?skuId...

I am looking to add more RAM to the system. What is the max ram supported by this system?

The motherboard model is hp 8b3b. I have 2 slots available in this board (1 slot is 16gb by default).

Thanks!

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs for your PC:

Datasheet

According to the parts list for the model, it comes with a HP ' RenoR' motherboard.

HP PartSurfer

Below is the link to the motherboard specs page:

HP Desktop PCs - RenoR system board specifications | HP® Support

The memory upgrade info indicates the PC will support 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 MHz memory.

This vendor indicates the PC can support 2 x 32 GB of memory.

ENVY TE01-5354 Memory Upgrade - HP TE01-5354 ENVY Computer Memory

I'm not so sure about that CL15 timing specs though.

Usually, the memory timing is CL22.

I looked up the part number for the memory HP installed from the above parts list and according to this site, it is CL22:

L93627-800 HP Desktop Memory

You can also run this command to see what Windows indicates is the maximum memory:

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and press the enter key.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.
