Hi All, me again after 1 day of ownership of my fantastic EliteOne 800 G6 27"!
I noticed on my pop-up webcam there is a scroll wheel. I can't see it does anything when the camera app is open, and only seems to 'scroll' a small amount. I searched online, and in the user guide, and there is no mention of it at all! Does anyone have any ideas what it does?
Below is a pic of a unit not installed as I thought it was easier to see (not mine I hasten to add LOL).
Thanks... no doubt more questions to come as I have been a Dell man up to now!

Haha thanks for the Welcome!
I just tested the wheel with the camera app on, and nothing happened... until I noticed the little 'flip camera' icon at the top right of the app, and realised this PC has a front AND back camera! Swapping to the back one (pointless as it faces a wall!) the wheel actually moves that camera up and down a tad... what kind of pointless weirdo feature is that? It would have been more useful on the front, or better stil both. cameras...

Hi and welcome to HP from the Dark Dell side!
That little “scroll wheel” on your pop-up webcam I believe is actually a manual privacy shutter. Turning it physically covers or uncovers the webcam lens -it’s a clever security feature!
You won’t see anything happen in software, and it’s not meant for focus or zoom. Just try rotating it while the Camera app is open -you’ll see the webcam view become blocked or clear depending on its position.
Enjoy your EliteOne -and feel free to keep the questions coming!
Kind Regards,
