@Vaioguy, thank you for the information. I am glad to know that it worked. I have been told that the M.2 socket in your computer would handle both PCIe and SATA, but didn't want to have you buy a drive and not have it work. This is good information for me.

Hello!
There is no need to be confused...all is simple...your motherboard have the same chuipset as I do...H370...
and your computer specs say: One M.2 socket 3, 2280 type for SSD - (socket 3 means NVME drive)
Your intel SSD link you posted is also a NVME drive...SATA SSD have a limited speed of 510-550MB....NVME drives goes beyound 1000MB...
I bought the Samsung Evo 970 NVME drive for my computer...and my speeds are 3500 MB read...2500 MB write..

Absolutely not!!! SATA M2 SSD wont work on this computer....
Only regular 2,5 inch SATA SSD.....but the question here on the topic was about M2 type...
