@speedcrafthero,

Here is the best way to upgrade your power supply as shown in my HP Compaq Pro 6300 SFF (idea is identical to your SFF model) upgrade link: Solved: Upgrading HP Compaq Pro 6300 SFF - HP Support Community - 8184303.

What you need is an HP 6-pin to ATX 24-pin power adapter, such as this one: Amazon.com: COMeap 24 Pin to 6 Pin ATX Power Adapter Cable for HP Z220 Z230 SFF MT TWR Series 4000 6....

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,

Hi Speedcrafthero,

For the GTX 1660 Super GPU requiring a 450W PSU, consider getting a PSU with at least 500-550W to ensure stable power supply and compatibility with your HP EliteDesk 800 G1. Make sure it fits in the Small Form Factor case.

Best regards,

Why not get the cheaper 12v only, 400w power supply for the HP z240 workstation?

It is $20 on ebay and should have more than enough wattage for your 125w Geforce GTX 1660 Super.

You may need a 6-pin to 8-pin PCIe power adapter cable.

The z240 workstation's 400w power supply has 18 amps (216 watts) on the second rail which is enough for a 150w video card.
