What version of USB 3.0 does my PC support?

I'm interested in a Samsung T7 portable high speed external SSD.  It says it is: USB 3.2 Gen 2. 

Does my system support this?  I can't find any tech specs relating to USB speed on my PC.  Is this worth getting (1000 mb/s read/write and 4TB).  Or should I get a slower one?

There are several different model numbers listed under the general product number for the model series.

HP PartSurfer

For example, I looked up the specs for the HP ENVY TE02-0020 DESKTOP PC and it does list the USB port speeds.

If you don't know your PC's exact model number/product number, run the Windows system information app and the product number will be listed on the System SKU line and then you can click on the model number from the partsurfer link I posted.

I have this exact model: HP ENVY TE02-0042 Bundle DT PC (319Q4AA).  I used the site you showed me.  I apparently have "Super Speed" USB 3.2 v1.

Yes, your PC has the same motherboard as the one I posted, so the USB port specs are the same.
