@Leepin,

In order to determine the manufacturing date of an HP part, you need a serial number. The typical HP s/n format is to look at the 4th, 5th, and 6th characters to reference when the product was built. The first character is the year date (Y) and the next two (WW), the week in that year it was made: CCSYWWZZZZ

Please note: when the 4th character, for example, is a zero, it could be 2000, 2010, or 2020.  In order to determine what year, you must guestimate when you got your keyboard. The 4th character cycles through 0 to 9 every 10 years.

So, for example, if the 4th - 6th characters are 416, it could mean the 16th week of 2004.

The question though, does your keyboard have a serial number, and does it conform to the aforementioned format? I am not sure about that.

PLEASE DON'T COMMUNICATE YOUR S/N.

@Leepin,

Unfortunately, my searches came up empty except to reveal that your keyboard must have been manufactured in 2013 or earlier.  I would say that your keyboard has performed admirably and apparently would like to retire from service.  In other words, it's time for a new keyboard.

Kind Regards,

Note: The USB keyboard above is otherwise the same but the windows key is a littel different, its flat than (round). 2006 is the release date of this keyboard you think?

hi

Promthe_0-1650705893519.jpeg

sorry, i didn't see a notification
so the model indicated, was not the right one, since usb, more recent
I gave a link with ps2 which seems to be closer
from there to give a precise date, difficult because, they were able to deliver this type of material over a long period
from what I know, although it was not an hp, my last computer with ps2 around 2004, my first hp with usb 2009
so plausible!
