What @Paul_Tikkanen recommended is the best and safest upgrade path as it will keep your old files and licensed apps such as office.

It is always possible that something can go wrong and you should have a backup on bootable media especially if your system is critical and you depend on it.

Hi:

There is no telling when Microsoft will push the update to your PC.

They had recently announced that there are no longer any restrictions on what W11-capable PC's will get the update.

In the past, they had only been sending the update to certain model PC's.

If you don't want to wait, you can always upgrade your PC to W11 at any time by clicking on the W11 Installation Assistant button at the link below (1st option).

Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)

Whether I can install Windows 11 via ISO file without bootable media. And plz say whether it is safe or not .

You can do that also if you want, but it is much easier to use the W11 installation assistant rather than to download the W11 ISO file and run the setup application from within Windows.

But that's up to you.
