Compaq dc7700 SFF
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello!  Neither Amazon nor Ebay have advert's for the CMOS battery for a Compaq dc7700 SFF (2007 model, I think). Can you help me find a vendor, or is this machine just too old? Thanks.

It will be the CR2025 or CR2032  both are 3V button cells, have identical diameters but the 2032 is 3.2mm thick while the 2025 is 2.5mm thick.

You can find it at any electronic, computer or battery store near you.

Just remove the old one the part number will be on the top of the battery.

Thanks very much for your very helpful response.  This old Compaq is still running nicely and speedily (4GB ram) under Windows 7, so its a great releief to know that my clock issue can get resolved.

I want to add that I bought three used HPs for export last summer, and as I prepared them to go off I was immensely aided by the diagnostic tests that HP engineers have constructed and made public.  so ... good show HP.
