Hello all!
I have a Elite 600 G9 sff with a intel gold cpu, and i want to upgrade it to something better.
I have read here and here that it supports some cpus from 12th and 13th gen, but i can't see any K or F model.
I think that the F model is not included due to the absence of integrated graphics, but... what if i put a dedicated graphics card like 1050ti or wx4100? will it work with this F variants?
Thanks!!

Welcome to our HP community forum!
Yes, your HP Elite 600 G9 SFF is indeed compatible with the i7-12700 / i7-12700F / i9-12900 / i9-12900F.
Your desktop would also be compatible with all the 12th and 13th gen "K" processors, but here, HP hasn't made it easy for you (read: nigh impossible.) Reasons being, that your heat sink, with p/n: N05304-001 "SPS-HEATSINK 65W SFF G9", is only rated for up to 65-watt processors, which is even pushing it for the aforementioned processors, since even though the 'default' or base power TDP is 65-watt, their "Maximum Turbo Power" reaches up to 180-watt. Not surprisingly, the "K" processors have a much higher MTP (219-watt), generating much more heat. You may be able to offset the heat issue somewhat by upgrading your heatsink, such as p/n: M78484-001 -assuming it will fit with your top panel in place: HP Heatsink And Fan LGA 1700 PN:M78484-001 | eBay.
The second issue is related to the first issue: power. The only power supply HP designed for your PC has a paltry 260-watt capacity. Higher performance "K" processors require more power. And 260-watt isn't going to work out.
Here again, there may be a solution, but this 550-watt power supply would only fit in a 600 G9 Tower case, not the SFF case: and it has p/n: M86264-001.
Realistically, stick with any of the 4 processors I mentioned earlier.
Kind Regards,

So nice!
I’ve ordered one i5 12400f to start with. I think it will be enough for development an office tasks, but thinking to upgrade again to the best option available in the coming years. I really don’t need to overclock. I prefer to have a silent box instead of having at full power.
Next steps will be replacing the stock cooler with a noctua or similar.
thanks!!
