I am looking to add memory to my PC. A search of the HP website for RAM returned these results for 8GB DDR3L-1600 SODIMM none of which are recommended for Envy Phoenix 850-055qe
Amazon has this memory available and I want to know if it is appropriate:

Hi Hangabur
I would suggest you go to Crucial for RAM upgrades for your PC.
I have added RAM to HP PC's using Crucial with great success.

Having said that it's also best practice to check and buy what you have installed in your PC already to ensure 100% match - unless you replace it with the ones you purchase.
If you want to know the details, run CPU-Z and check what SPD tab shows.
I did update RAM in my OMEN by adding second SAMSUNG stick matching the one already there with ultimate success (having encountered some initial BSODs indicating hardware issues, however it eventually transpired that module must have been not fully inserted).
And yes, Crucial guys are quite helpful and accept returns in case your attempts will prove unsuccessful (but so is Amazon).
