I'm posting here because the system won't let me post in a more appropriate place.

At the suggestion of someone I spoke with in Workstation Support, I'm using a new ID here to contact the HP Community forums Team. I was a member and sporadic contributor to the forums here for many years, and last night I posted a new message which began, "While upgrading the memory for my HP Z6 G4, I learned two things which might be useful to others..."

I was startled to see it flagged as "spam." The message said that if that was erroneous I should submit an abuse report, which I did. This is what I wrote:

"Why is my post "marked as spam?" It is not spam, and not inappropriate!" (and I included a link to my message)

Today I checked to see if I'd gotten a response. There was nothing from HP in my email inbox, so I checked to see whether my message was still flagged as spam.

I was immediately redirected to a web page with an error message on it, and then immediately redirected to a 500 error page. I tried again several times, and was finally able to stop the 2nd redirect, so that I could read the message. It said:

HP Community  >  You are not allowed to access this site

We're sorry, but you have been banned from using this site.

I have no idea why.

I couldn't even view anything on the site, except in "incognito mode."

Everything I've written on the site over the years is now gone, including highly detailed information which I'd shared about how to get around the failure of HP Solution Center for older OfficeJet printers (which happened when Adobe killed FlashPlayer).

I reviewed the "Terms of Use" and the "Rules of Participation." As nearly as I can tell, I did not violate any rules.

The Rules of Participation say:

"If you need an answer from HP, please contact us using one of the options listed at this URL:..." but the URL is dead.

They also say, "If you have a complaint, you're welcome to contact us via the community feedback and suggestions board."  But I couldn't do that because I was banned.

I couldn't find any other contact info for the HP Community forums Team, so I called HP Support, and got transferred to Workstation Support. The lady couldn't find any contact info for the Community forums Team, either, and she recommended that I create a new HP Community ID, so that I could contact the Team via the Community forums.

I wanted to send a direct message to someone on the Team, but I found no way to do that. I found an article by JessikaV entitled, "How To Send A Private Message," but it says to click on a "send a message" button which does not exist.

So I'm posting here, because it's the only thing I'm apparently able to do. Will someone please tell me why I was banned, and how to get un-banned, and get the content which I've posted over the years restored?

Hi @DaveBurton2 ,

Can you answer me with your last username that you used in the community?

I work on behalf of HP.

Thanks,

BTW, the missing "send a message" button has appeared on various profiles (including yours). I have no idea what changed.

Have you learned how/why I got banned? Will you be able to undo it?

@RodrigoB, I'd really like to get this resolved. Please??
