HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15-ee0100nd

Hello,

I have an HP Envy x360 laptop. It happens quite often (think: every few days) that it cannot connect to WiFi, while other appliances can. When l go to the network center, press the help button, it says the WiFi adapter is disconnected. When pressing the 'connect' button, it cannot connect. The only thing l can do is restart the PC and then it works again, until all this starts over again.

I have a Realtek RTL8822CE 802.11ac PCIe adapter. driver version: 2024.0.10.220.

Can anyone tell me:

1. is this the latest version?

(When clicking the button 'check driver version',  it says this is the latest, but l am not always convinced.

2. l was told to do a winsock resest.

would this be a good / possible solution?

3. Does anyone else have or had this problem and know the solution perhaps?

Thank you all for your help!

BR

Wim

Hi:

The only suggestion I can offer would be to update the Wi-Fi driver to the latest version HP has for that model wifi adapter.

2024.10.228.2    03/07/2023

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp145501-146000/sp145749.exe

Fix and enhancements:

- Fixes an issue where the system cannot wake from Sleep mode using the Remote Desktop Connection App. (RTL8852BE) - Fixes an issue where a system connected to a wireless access point (AP) disconnects from the AP unexpectedly. (RTL8822CE)

I do not know the answer to your second question.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your quick reply. I waited for some time to see what would happen. I installed the update and so far it only disconnected once and then it connected again, automatically, within 5 seconds.

I think the problem is solved. Thanks a lot for your help. Highly appreciated!!
