The spec for the Elitedesk 800 G6 shows it comes with an M.2 Wi-Fi express card., I assume your system does not have on installed? The spec below has a note quote "Only available in countries where 802.11ax is supported. "

I was unable to find any Wi-Fi on the HP Parts Surfer but eBay had a lot of express cards AX201
You will need a pair of antennas in addition to the card and I was unable to find a layout that shows where the antenna wires are to run.
As you have several expansion slots you might consider any of the intel AXxxx cards that have antennas that screw onto the adapter. I just put an EDUP WiFi 6 card in a low profile HP6000 and it worked fine including BlueTooth with existing windows 10 drivers.
