Can I upgrade the WiFi to an AX210 on this device?

Yes, unfortunately a no-go.

You can upgrade to this dual band AC card, but I don't know if it is supported for Linux.

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

The card has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band with an AC router and an excellent signal.

You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express.

I see some Intel 3165 cards listed on the eBay listings, so don't buy those.

RTL8821CE - Buy RTL8821CE with free shipping on AliExpress

On the Ali Express listings, make sure the card has the HP Part # of 915620-001.

Hi:

Unfortunately, that would most likely not be possible since your PC has an AMD 'A' series processor and chipset.

I don't know of anyone that has gotten an Intel WX210 to work in an AMD PC of that vintage.

I also believe that it only has one antenna wire if it has a Realtek RTL8723BE Wi-Fi adapter, and any dual band Intel card would require two antenna wires.

If you want to open up the PC and let me know how many antenna wires it has connected to the Realtek card, I could give you a possible dual band card to upgrade to but I would have no idea if it has driver support for Linux.

It's just a single antenna unfortunately.  So it sounds like a no go then?

Hi Paul

Just a follow up I was able to upgrade the m2 with your suggestion and get it working under Manjaro Linux.  Although I did have problems re-attaching the antenna but finally got it to work.  Thanks again!

That's great news.

Glad you were able to upgrade the Wi-Fi adapter.

Hey Paul

Well I guess when I was trying to get the antenna snapped on I pressed too hard and damaged it.  It worked for awhile but then dropped after I started using the bluetooth.  I think it either overheated or fell off.  It looks like I'll need to replace the antenna.  I've wondering if you or anyone else knows where I can get a replacement antenna?

Update: Found Two

Sorry that the antenna wire broke.

Glad you found replacements.

Those wires are very thin and delicate.
