Hello will 4gb+8gb ram be compatable on my HP Prodesk 400 g6 MT? The ram types are of the same spec

Hi:

 

The product specs recommends that two memory chips should be installed in matching capacities.

I don't see any reason why an 8 GB + a 4 GB memory chip wouldn't work though.

 

The memory will only run in single channel mode, like it is now with one memory chip.
