OMEN by HP 40L Gaming Desktop PC GT21-0000i (392G5AV)

Hello,

I just ordered a new m.2 SSD (from 500GB to 1TB) and I am wondering if I would need to reinstall windows 11 on my new SSD or will windows 11 be automatically installed on the new SSD? I am assuming I would have to buy a version of windows 11 and load it onto the new SSD but just wanted to make sure.

Given 500GB SSD is the system drive, you have to install Windows and apps yourself. The best option is to clone old drive to new drive the swap. Please use

All the programs/applications installed on the SSD are just the boot and games, nothing of importance will be lost. I was just wondering if I would need to reinstall win11 on the new SSD.

Definitely yes, you have to reinstall Windows on new drive using

You can use boo-table media to do a fresh installation. Windows will activate itself using the key which is embedded in BIOS
