HP ENVY 700-529
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was wondering if The 1060 would be able to function on this PC, I would really like to upgrade my PC but I don’t know if this card will be able to run or fit in this computer.

Yes.

You will also need to upgrade the PSU to one that has 400W capacity and a six-pin PCIe power connector for the graphics card.

The upgrade PSU is not that expensive, starting at @ $50.00.  See the following link at Newegg.com for candidate PSU units. Corsair and EVGA are the most popular upgrade PSU units in the list. They are highly regarded brands by Gamers and enthusiasts.

Also would it be recommended to go above 400 w like 550w or around there..if so which psu’s should I go for that would be compatible with my machine.

(btw this is the exact card I was going to get https://www.amazon.ca/EVGA-GeForce-Support-Graphics-06G-P4-6267-KR/dp/B01LYN9KK6 )

Hi Koro

Make sure this card will fit in your uATX chassis.

The card you are looking at is 10.5 inches in length.

I have worked with similar cases where a 10.1 inch card just made it. The back of the card was right up against the HDD cage.

@Koro_

Yes.

That card willl fit.

A 550W PSU will work. The Corsair full modular PSU would be perfect.

Hi @Purvi4321,

It won't work in your desktop PC.

The reason is that your PC from the 2011 model year.

It is not compatible with video cards that work only with an EFI BIOS.

Your PC's legacy BIOS cannot recognize the card as being installed.

To upgrade your desktop PC to a more powerful video card, you can only consider video cards that are compatible with a legacy BIOS.
