Product: OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop PC - 875-0014
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was just wondering if Samsung's 970 EVO 1TB - NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD  will work with my OMEN Obelisk Desktop PC - 875-14? Or do I have to use the older 960 EVO Series. Thanks in advance!!

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

 

The 970 should work. The 970 is a 2280 drive (22 mm wide by 80 mm in length). Just verify you have a little over three inches from the M.2 socket to the motherboard drive mounting point. HP should have provided a screw and MB standoff to mount the drive.

 

Tip: use a magnetic screwdriver to install the mounting screw.
