HP Pavilion 570-p000

So I have a problem where I get the computer to turn on and all the fans run etc, but I get no display. After a lot of research I have come to the conclusion that my dumb self bought a processor that isn't supported by my motherboard.

Will a BIOS update to my Willow2 (Link provided below) allow me to run my AMD Ryzen 3 2200G? and if so is there a version more recent than the 2017 update that I found? (Link to the BIOS update below)

If not I think my next best option would be to get a new motherboard, am I correct in assuming this?

Greetings,

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

Thanks for the links. Makes my research easier! The BIOS link you have provided shows no additional CPU support in "Fixes'.

The AM4 socket is compatible but HP has to provide new processor BIOS support.

HP has tested and provides BIOS support for the following CPUs on this system board:

Processor
TDP
Integrated Graphics
AMD A12-9800 (Bristol Ridge) 3.8 GHz Quad Core
65 W
Radeon R7
AMD A10-9700 (Bristol Ridge) 3.5 GHz Quad Core
65 W (cTDP – 45 W)
Radeon R7
AMD A8-9600 (Bristol Ridge) 3.1 GHz Quad Core
65 W (cTDP – 45 W)
Radeon R7

Regards
