I want to upgrade to an m.2 nvme ssd but my pc does not have the m.2 slot. So I will have to use a m.2 nvme PCI-Express Adaptor for it. Will the nvme ssd support my pc? My processor is Intel core 2 duo E7500 @ 2.93GHz. And my ram is 4gb DDR3. Pls tell me if it will support my pc.

If you PC has an open SATA port, you can connect the 3.5" drive in the empty port and use the 3.5" drive for storage.
You would connect the SSD to the SATA port the existing 3.5" drive is connected to now because that is the port the PC will boot from.
My dc7800 has 4 SATA ports. One is for the SSD and one is for the DVD-RW drive, so I have two empty SATA ports.
I have occasionally connected a drive to one of the empty ports when I needed to get data from it.

No way a NVMe SSD will work.
Yes, you can replace the 3.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.
You will need a 3.5" to 2.5" adapter so you can mount the 2.5" drive where the 3.5" drive is mounted now.
The SSD will only run at the SATA II (3.0 GB/S) speed because that is the speed of your PC's drive controller.
It will still run much faster than with the mechanical hard drive.
I have a 2.5" SSD in my HP dc7800 CMT that has a Pentium E8300 and it works fine.
The dc7800 also has a SATA II drive controller.

You're very welcome.
I forgot to mention that if you want to use the 3.5" drive with the 2.5" SSD, there needs to be a second SATA power connector and you will need to buy another SATA data cable.
My dc7800 has 3 bays for 3.5" drives and 3 SATA power connectors on the same wires.
It did not come with an extra data cable, so I had to find one that was the right length and had the angled connector at the end that plugs into the drive.
