Will this processor support Windows 10?

Hi @Djm4th

Welcome to the HP Forum.

What OS are you using now?

The A8-6410 is on the W10 22H2 list.

You could have a problem with other components connected to/or integrated in the MB. This includes unsupported peripherals.

I would only try the the W10 update after using drive imaging software which provides a way to recover the current OS if you have a problem and you can't use W10 to go back to the previous OS.

You never know how a Windows OS update will go. You could wind up with no usable OS and no way to get back to the previous OS without a viable recovery plan in place.

Regards

Hi, @Djm4th

If you are wanting to upgrade to W10, please note that Microsoft has recently closed the loophole with their activation servers that allowed the free upgrade to extend beyond the July 2016 free upgrade offer date.

Can you still get a Windows 10 upgrade for free? | ZDNET

So, if you want to upgrade, you will have to pay around $99 for a W10 license/product key to do so.
