Will the HP640 lightscribe dvd drive work with windows10 64 bit?

Looking at a HP 640 external dvd drive with lightscribe for sale on eBay. This is an older drive. Will this work with windows 10 - 64 bit?

First of all, HP hasn't extended Windows 10 support for this item.  According to this link "Software and drivers for HP dvd640e DVD Writer", dvd640e driver support stopped with Windows XP (64-bit): https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-dvd600-dvd-writer-series/433674/model/462886.  Here's another helpful HP link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-dvd600-dvd-writer-series/433674/model/462886/manuals.

There's anecdotal evidence that people are using this drive using Windows 10, but like I said, not endorsed by HP.

Yes this does help. One more question. Are there still drivers out there to run the HP 640 drive in Windows 10 or 11 to be used for a standard burner? I did not know that Lightscribe was killed off by HP.
