Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I know the i7 9700k won’t work on my board, but, will the i7 8700 work? it has the same power draw and socket type (i think)

Welcome back to the forum.

I am not a HP employee.

 

Sorry but your motherboard chipset (H170) does not support eighth gen Intel processors.

 

The LGA 1151 socket is compatible.
