Hey,

I currently own a HP pavillion 570-p046na desktop purchased 3 years ago (uk) which came with

AMD A12-9800 cpu and Radeon rx460 (2mb) graphics card with a 300w power supply.  I've enjoyed gaming with this but as technology moves on I'd like to move with the times and many questions circle if the willow 2 motherboard like in this system can be updated to power a the modern Ryzen processors of today.

I spoke directly with a HP representative who tells me that the 'willow 2' motherboard does not support the Ryzen processors and will not have a bios update to allow it (unless your a super geek that can bypass this).

So what he suggested is to get another mini atx/ atx motherboard from the leading manufacturers as their bios updates are more future proof to keep up with the latest and newer technology to come (unless theres a socket change etc...).

He then added my only upgrades with this current system can be with all other hardware except the cpu as i have the flagship processor for that board.

So until my systems lags with future technology and gaming.

My next project will be to purchase

Atx/ Mini Atx Case

Ryzen processor

Power supply

Graphics card (low profile)

To bring the system up to date for a higher quality of gaming.
