Hi @All-in-007,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To determine whether your PC can run Windows 11, I recommend checking the official Microsoft Windows 11 system requirements on the official Windows website or running the Windows 11 PC Health Check tool if it's available. Microsoft might have updated the compatibility requirements, and they may continue to do so in the future.
If your PC doesn't meet the Windows 11 requirements, it doesn't necessarily mean you have to scrap it in 2025. Windows 10 will continue to receive support until October 14, 2025, which includes security updates. You can keep using Windows 10 on your PC even after Windows 11 is released, as long as it's receiving security updates and meets your needs.
Additionally, you can explore alternative operating systems, such as Linux, if you find that your hardware is no longer supported by Windows. Linux offers a wide range of distributions that can run on various hardware configurations, and it's a good option for older hardware.
Keep in mind that software and hardware requirements may change over time, so it's a good idea to periodically check for updates and consider your options based on your specific needs and the status of your PC's compatibility with current and future operating systems.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
