elite 8200 sff
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello

Running Microsoft's media creation tool to upgrade the Elite 8200's from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I have run this tool on several Elite 8200 - with no difficulty. Along with the completed upgrade windows 10 64 bit activated.

I have this Elite 8200. The app runs windows setup - getting updates, checking updates. When complete the notice is that HP Tools etc and Digitalpersona  etc are not compatible with Windows 10. In notice invite me to manually remove HP Tools, support and so forth and to remove any and all references to Digitapersona.

I have read all the articles I could locate on Google search and have applied what needs to be done to remove any and all references to HP and Digitalpersona.

I won't list the third party tools as I have spent the last several days running (after rebooting) the upgrade.

I even elected after running the 'fixes' and applying the third party apps to 'fix' what is suggested I need to do to complete the upgrade - to key word search the registry for any reference to 'hp' and 'digitalpersona' and deleted those instances.

Of course, registry was backed up.

I even scoured the C drive for any reference to  'hp' and 'digitalpersona'  and deleted those remnants.

However if I 'refresh' the upgrade to clean out any reference to  'hp' and 'digitalpersona'  those reference remain.

Thus I reboot, again, and run the upgrade tool - a sure enough, I am invited to to manually remove  'hp' and 'digitalpersona' .

I enjoy Windows 7 and can live with Windows 7 however to use Adobe CC I need Windows 10. Abobe CC only runs on Windows 10, not on Windows 7.

What's to do?

I ran the upgrade again. The HP tools if missing however I am invited to manually remove digitalpersona.

There is no reference on C drive and/or in the Registry for a digitalpersona.

try running ccleaner registry cleaner to remove any registry entry associated with the programme.
