Our desktop was updated to Windows 10 and ever since the computer won't recognize wireless networks--its like it doesn't even know what wifi is. I've checked the device manager and there is no wireless network adapter even listed (previously wifi was working without issue). I've tried almost everything to reinstall a wireless network driver. I most recently used the HP recovery manager and selected hardware device installation, selected the wireless LAN driver, clicked reinstall--everything said it was installed correctly, restarted my computer and NOTHING. I am at my wit's end. Anyone have any advice??
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
I recommend the following steps:
- search for "edit power plan" in Cortana
- go to "change advanced power settings"
- go to "wireless adapter settings"
- set everything ti best performance
- reboot
If that doesn't work, go to device manager > view > show hidden devices and tell us what you see.

HP used several wireless cards in this model,
if you are able, open the case and look at the installed PCI-e wireless card it's a half lenght Mini type card
then note the model number on the card
go to this link, click on the networking section to expand, and show a pict of what the card looks like
