Product: HP Z6 G4 Base Model Workstation
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Trying to get DVD/CD ROM drive to work on Z6 G4 workstation, the generic raid controller driver provided in Win11 cannot load because it's incompatible with the Xeon chipset, what's the correct Intel driver and where do I find it?

The RAID controller does not have anything to do with getting an optical disk to work.

 

Just do not connect it to a SATA port that is already assigned to a RAID device.

 

You should be able to connect it with a SATA  cable to a port and connect the power cable and done.
