Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an Omen 870-244 with Thimphu-K motherboard.  i7-7700 Intel CPU that Windows update says will not support a Windows 11 upgrade.  The HP support page says the only CPU compatible with motherboard is the i7.  Does anyone know if any of the Windows 11 compatible CPUs on their list can be installed on this motherboard.

Hi:

 

According to the processor upgrade info, only the Kaby Lake (7th gen core) processors are supported.

 

HP Desktop PCs - motherboard specifications, Thimphu-K | HP® Customer Support

 

If you are interested, you can easily bypass the W11 hardware checks and upgrade to W11.

 

I did on a Dell Optiplex 7050 MT with an i7-7700 processor, and W11 works just fine.
