@jbertke , welcome to the Community.

It is a bit early to determine which computers will run Win II and which ones won't run it.  Microsoft hasn't made all of the requirements public at this time.  Here is a guide that will help you check the current components.

Thanks for your reply. I have used the Microsoft diagnostic tool and it indicates that my system will not run Windows 11. It doesn't say why, but I suspect it's because I don't have a dual core processor. There may be other reasons. I thought that with a  comparison of my system with the Windows 11 system requirements that one could evaluate whether my system could be upgraded with HP components.

You are very welcome, @jbertke!

Here is the Product Specifications page for the computer.  If you look at the sections titled "Processor/Processor upgrade information" and "Memory/Memory upgrade information" you will see that you have an i7-7700 processor that is a Quad Core.

I believe that the most likely culprit would be TPM.  You may not have it or it is TPM 1.0.  Win II will require TPM 2.0.  All of the other components appear to be compatible.

Geekster, Thanks for your help.  If I look at the Device Manager>Security Devices> Trusted Platform Module 2.0 is listed there. I guess that means there is  a different reason for the diagnostic result. Any more ideas?

You are very welcome!  This is surprising.  I thought TPM would be the problem.  Frankly, I couldn't see any other component that might be questionable.  I guess you will have to wait for the final version to see what happens.

Good luck!
