Pavilion (05-103na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
A couple of days ago HP Assitant identifed that my AND graphics drivers were out of date and I set off the process to update them. Once the driver had been installed the desktop screen started flashing and it turns out that Explorer is restrating every second or 2. I can't access Settings or do any diagnostics because thee is t time to type anything before Explorer restarts. I have tried to rollback to the restore point created at the time of the update but it fails. Any assistance gratefully received

That is why I said F11.  You can re-fresh the OS without harm to the data files.

NOTE: If your computer shipped with Windows 10 pre-installed at the factory,

HP Recovery Manager will not work with the latest Windows 10 update (Anniversary Edition).
Specifically, HP Recovery Manager can not open file: X:\sources\Recovery\tools\HP\Rita-tool\

 

To resolve the issue, download and install the following HP software update:

For desktop computers, download HP Recovery Manager Update SP74124

Thanks for this. As I bought the PC only about 7 weeks ago I suspect that it is running the Anniversary edition. Unfortunately, although it looks like Recovery Manager has installed, explorer is not stable enough to give me the time to find the programme and run it before resetting.

I would not make that assumption.

1.)  Download patch file from another computer and Save to USB thumb drive.

2.)  Microsoft Edge browser have this same issue?
