HP Pavilion Desktop PC 590-p0000a
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My  PC hard-drive is labeled as an HDD. The packaging specs even indicate that it's an HDD. However, windows is insisting that I have an SSD had drive. I am unable to defrag because Windows thinks I have a SSD. Interestingly, Windows does not provide the option to Trim either as if it were an SSD. The PC is brand new with an upgrade to Windows 10 pro with bitlocker activated.

What is the issue going on here. Is there a fix?

I had the same problem. I had to go into settings and disable bitlocker. After I did that all was well.
