HP Pavilion All-in-One - 27-d0014
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an LG V40Thinq cell phone with a wireless charging option. When I go to charge it on the All-In-One base stand, the orange charge indicator illuminates, but it will go out over the course of less than a minute. It's VERY sensitive to where the phone is placed. Sometimes the LED will flash as if it were trying to connect to the phone, but then go out. I have been able to get a full amp of charging current out of it when I place the phone just right over the charging coil, but again, not matter what current I can get into the phone, the light goes out in under a minute. I've never been able to get more than a minute of charge since I got this PC a year ago.

Any ideas anyone?

Hello NS777,

Thank you so much for such a quick response!  I had already read your link earlier when looking around for possible remedies. None of those suggestions for wireless charging (except for resetting the phone) were effective as I had already tried those many times over the last year. I just can't tell if it's the HP charger on my desktop or the cell phone. My wired charging port overheated this morning melting the plastic on both the phone and the cable, so I have to go wireless for now.   I'm not in the market right now for resetting the phone...

I appreciate you responding.

Edgie
