Wireless mouse not working without receiver

Problem:

Wireless mouse works when receiver is inserted into USB PORT on laptop, but not when receiver is installed inside mouse.

Bluetooth is enabled, but will not discover mouse.

This is expected behavior.

The "inside pocket" in the mouse is a storage container - storing the receiver in the mouse does not connect the mouse to the device (computer).
