Example: Pavilion 6720f
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP P6720f desktop and just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10.  I selected the option to save Windows 7 as Windows.old during the upgrade and it is now taking up 401 GB of my 1TB of harddrive.  I'm a little hesitate at this time to delete but will be willing to buy an internal harddrive to move those files to.  This case has 2 - 5.25" bays and 3 - 3.5" bays.  I should have the space to add an additional harddrive correct?  Thanks

@PvillileTX , welcome to the forum.

Yes, you will definitely have space to install a second hard drive.  You will need a SATA power and data cable.  Here is the Upgrading and Servicing Guide for the computer:  http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01835715

There are instructions for disassembling the case and shows the cables that are required for the current hard drive.  You may have to use a "Y" to add the power.

While you stated you wanted to install an internal HDD, I suggest that you consider a USB 2.0 hard drive.  There are 4 USB 2.0 ports on the back of your computer.  It is much easier to install and doesn't use space inside of the case that restricts airflow.  I have two USB hard drives for backup.  They don't take up much space and are very efficient.  Just a suggestion.
