Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Hi,

 

I am purchasing an external SSD and to get the full write speeds I will need to use USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port. I was wondering if this product will work:

The spec page for the OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop 875-0084

It also shows a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 FH (8 GB) Short card which most likely is occupying the PCIe x16 socket (for discrete graphic card)

Shows the motherboard is a Edoras  where there is only one PCIe x16 socket (for discrete graphic card) slot

The USB adapter card that was linked needs a PCIe x1 or higher to operate.  From the description and the picture of the motherboard, there is no place to install the USB adapter card for the USB upgrade.

The only way would be to remove the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 FH (8 GB) Short card, so I assuming that is not a choice.

So - sorry for the bad news.
